Coming back soon and enjoy this video

I took the site down while I was at graduate school at Northwestern University, but it will be coming back soon.

In the meantime enjoy this entertaining and informative video that I made with my fellow Medill alums Katie Banks and Ashley Cullins.  It explains how a bill becomes a law.

Scarface School Play

"I got a fudging junky for a wife"

     -- Little Tony Montana

My sister showed me this video earlier today with the belief that this was an actual school play.  Turns out this video was made by director Marc Klasfeld and all the children are professional actors.  Despite the Scarface School Play not being as real as many thought it is still an entertaining video worth viewing multiple times.

To find out more about Marc Klasfeld and the Scarface School Play check out this interview and visit the website for his production company Rockhard Films.

Septuagenarians May Ruin America

John Oliver was not referring to these septuagenarians

The Daily Show’s John Oliver gave a very compelling argument concerning the absurdity of certain elderly Senator’s disapproval of overturning “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” in our military.  Despite the desire of the President, high ranking military officials, and the majority of the American public these elderly Senators refuse to reconsider their stance.  If these Senators can stand in the way of the will of the American public on this issue, equal rights for all Americans, based on archaic notions of right and wrong, then they will be more inclined to impede Americans on a wide array of other issues ranging from health care, economic policy, civil liberties, and more.  America may have a new threat that is equally absurd as it is dangerous.

Saxby Chambliss' Georgia

Yes this is a real picture, and that is his real signature.

National Geographic to promote Geography Awareness Week thought it would be a great idea to have all 100 Senators draw a map of their state.  This was the best Senator Chambliss could do.

Being a Georgian I must admit that I can hardly recognize Chabliss' Georgia, but that was kind of expected.  I must concede though that his serrated edges are very impressive.  They probably help defend the homeland and were constructed through a no bid contract with Halliburton.  However, I must admit that I am in need of a visit to our rectangular mountains.  I hear they are beautiful.

For drawing instructions see Senator Al Franken.

Dock Ellis LSD No-hitter

Dock Ellis was a Major League pitcher for 11 years, and played for 5 different teams.  However, he is mostly known for always pitching while intoxicated, and most famously pitching a no-hitter while on LSD in 1970.

Below is a new animated video about that famous no-hitter with Dock Ellis providing the commentary.  Enjoy.

Jon Stewart as Glenn Beck

Jon Stewart tackles Glenn Beck's appending appendicitis in a manner which Glenn Beck should recognize, and which displays the doldrums our political discourse, and Glenn Beck's show, has become.
